Step-by-step installation instructions for SAC Bot

Requirements

Before installing SAC Bot, ensure you meet these requirements:

  • Administrator permissions on your Discord server
  • A Discord server with at least 50 members (recommended)
  • Basic understanding of Discord server management
  • Stable internet connection
⚠️ Important
SAC Bot requires Administrator permissions for full functionality. Without these permissions, some features may not work correctly.

� Installation Steps

Step 1: Invite SAC Bot

Click the official invite link to add SAC Bot to your server:

This link will redirect you to Discord's authorization page where you can select your server and grant permissions.

Step 2: Grant Permissions

On the authorization page, select your server and grant the requested permissions:

  • Administrator - Required for full functionality
  • Manage Messages - For message management
  • Kick/Ban Members - For moderation actions
  • Manage Roles - For role management
  • View Channels - For monitoring
Step 3: Complete Authorization

Complete the CAPTCHA verification if prompted, and authorize the bot. SAC Bot will automatically join your server.

Step 4: Run Initial Setup

Once the bot has joined, run the start command:

/start

This will guide you through the initial setup process.

Step 5: Access Setup Wizard

Run the comprehensive setup wizard:

/setup

The setup wizard will help you configure:

  • Server roles (Admin, Moderator, Staff)
  • Log channels for different events
  • Security system preferences
  • Team management
  • 2FA configuration

Post-Installation

After completing the installation, verify the setup:

Verification Steps

  • Check that SAC Bot appears in your server's member list
  • Run /status to check your Safe Mode status
  • Verify that the setup channel was created
  • Test basic commands to ensure functionality
  • Check log channels are receiving messages

🔑 Permissions Guide

SAC Bot requires specific permissions to function properly. Here's what each permission enables:

Permission Purpose
Administrator Full access to all server features
Manage Messages Delete and manage messages for spam filtering

View Channels Monitor all server channels

🔧 Installation Troubleshooting

Bot won't join server

  • Verify you have Administrator permissions
  • Check if the bot is already in the server
  • Ensure the server isn't bot-limited
  • Try the invite link again after a few minutes

Commands not working

  • Check if the bot has the necessary permissions
  • Ensure commands are enabled in the server
  • Verify you're using the correct command format
  • Check if you're in a channel where commands are allowed

Setup wizard not appearing

  • Try running /setup in a different channel
  • Check if the bot has permissions to create channels
  • Ensure you have the necessary role permissions
